Hematology/Oncology Physician

Position Highlights

• Location: Upstate New York
• Start: ASAP as soon as credentialed ( 6 weeks with temps)
• Duration: 6+ months, ongoing
• Reason for coverage: Physician leave of absence
• Schedule: Full-time, 4 weeks per month
• Clinic: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Patient volume: clinic patients per day; 6 new patients per week
• Scope: Outpatient clinic + inpatient call 60% Oncology / 40% Hematology
• Duties: New patient visits, follow-ups, treatment planning, chemotherapy, inpatient rounding
• Call: 1:5 weeknight (4:30 PM 8:30 AM, mostly telephone unless urgent) + 1:5 weekend (24-hour)
• EMR: Epic with Beacon
• Support: 5 Physicians + 5 APPs; PA on inpatient service M F; onsite Radiation Oncology group

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
• Breast Oncology experience
• Active New York State license
• Epic experience preferred
