We are hiring for a Part-Time Night APP position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
Local Team Collaboration:
- At Bridgeton, our strong, collaborative team includes 28 physicians and 4 APPs at SSM Health DePaul. We also have the support of three clinical performance nurses, one hospital coordinator, and one program manager.
- As a team, we value our collaboration with the nursing staff and specialists throughout the hospital. Patients are our top priority, and we do a great job of always keeping that focus at the forefront.
- Excellent subspecialty support.
Qualifications:
- Board certification required.
- Prior hospitalist inpatient strongly preferred, or hospital-based experience as a Physician Assistant.
- If a new grad PA, inpatient rotations during training in hospital medicine are required.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
- This role is for a part-time nocturnist 7p-7a coverage with the expectation of approximately 7-night shifts per month.
- Block schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- This position will collaborate with two nocturnist physicians on the night shift, managing admissions and responding to rapid responses and stroke alerts.
- We welcome the challenge of highly complex cases. Our ICU is closed. Procedures and codes are not required, and we are grateful for 24/7 in-house specialty support in all but just a few specialty areas.
