Job Requirements
- Board Certified in Cardiology
- Active Michigan medical license required
- Minimum of 1 year of cardiology experience required
- Ability to provide inpatient cardiology and call coverage
- Experience interpreting echocardiography, treadmill stress tests, and chemical stress tests
- Must be able to interpret common diagnostic cardiac studies confidently
- Clean background preferred for expedited credentialing
- DEA confirmation required
- Availability for the listed coverage dates required
- Applicants must be able to drive in regionally; no flight-based travel
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient cardiology coverage
- Manage 24-hour call responsibilities as scheduled
- Interpret echocardiograms and cardiac stress testing
- Support timely evaluation and treatment of hospitalized cardiac patients
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers and the care team to ensure smooth coverage
- Respond to call-back needs as clinically appropriate
- Deliver high-quality cardiology care in a fast-paced acute care environment
