Clinical Role
Join an established cardiology and electrophysiology team in Bellingham, Washington, providing a combination of general cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology coverage. This opportunity includes both hospital and outpatient clinic responsibilities for electrophysiology, with general cardiology coverage focused in the hospital setting. The position supports adult patients at a 247-bed facility and includes rounding, admissions, and a full spectrum of electrophysiology procedures.

Schedule:
- 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
- General cardiology coverage for 1 week per month
- General Cardiology: approximately 0.25 FTE
- Electrophysiology: approximately 0.5 FTE
Call Schedule:
- Anticipate 2 weeknight calls during each one-week coverage stretch
- Potential 24-hour weekend call as needed
- APC support Monday-Saturday

- General cardiology and electrophysiology coverage
- EP coverage in both hospital and outpatient clinic settings
- General cardiology coverage in the hospital setting only
- Rounding and admissions
- Adult patient population
- Full spectrum EP procedures
- General cardiology procedures including cardioversions and TEEs

Approximately 8-10 general cardiology patients per day
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide cardiac electrophysiology services
- Provide general cardiology coverage
- Evaluate and manage adult cardiology patients
- Round on hospitalized patients
- Perform admissions as needed
- Provide EP care in both hospital and outpatient clinic settings
- Perform full-spectrum electrophysiology procedures
- Perform pacemaker procedures
- Perform cardiac ablations
- Perform cardioversions
- Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs)
- Participate in scheduled and as-needed call coverage
- Collaborate with APCs and the cardiology team
Procedures
Electrophysiology:
- Full spectrum of EP procedures
- Pacemakers
- Cardiac ablations
General Cardiology:
- Cardioversions
- Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs)
- Approximately 2-4 TEEs per shift
Coverage & Support
APC Support:
APC support is available Monday-Saturday.
Call:
- Approximately 2 weeknight calls during the one-week general cardiology stretch
- Potential 24-hour weekend call as needed
Requirements
- Board Certified Cardiology - Required
- Board Certified Electrophysiology - Required
- MD/DO - Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience - Required
- Active Washington Medical License - Required
- IMLC accepted
- Willing to license depending on start date
- ACLS - Required
- BLS - Required
- NRP - Required
