This is a full-time outpatient PMHNP opportunity offering a Monday Friday schedule, strong physician collaboration, structured clinical support, and excellent work-life balance within a clinician-led psychiatry practice.
Candidates must have a minimum of one year of PMHNP experience practicing in Alabama and an active DEA license at the time of hire.PMHNP Position Highlights• Full-time outpatient psychiatry position
• Monday Friday clinic schedule (no inpatient duties)
• Light call rotation approximately one weekend per month
• Established outpatient psychiatry practice in the Birmingham metro
• Collaborative team environment with psychiatrists, therapists, and clinical staff
• Direct supervision and support from experienced psychiatric physicians
• Strong administrative, billing, and scheduling infrastructure
• High patient demand and established referral base

PMHNP Responsibilities• Perform psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
• Provide medication management and ongoing outpatient psychiatric care
• Develop individualized treatment plans for mental health conditions
• Treat a broad range of adult psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
• Participate in shared weekend call rotation (light coverage)

Qualifications Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
