AtlantiCare is seeking 1 Locum Advanced Practice Provider (NP with RNFA certification or PA) to support Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, NJ. This is a high acuity, hospital based role providing 12 hour shifts with an immediate start through October.
Position Details - Location: AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Atlantic City, NJ
- Setting: Hospital-Based Trauma & Acute Care Surgery
- Trauma Level: Level II
- Coverage Type: Locum Tenens
- Reason for Need: Temporary coverage while recruiting a permanent provider
- License Requirement: Active NJ license required (cannot accept candidates needing a new state license)
- EMR: Cerner
Schedule - 12-hour shifts:
- Coverage includes:
- Trauma alerts
- Inpatient care
- OR support
- Daily rounding
- Nights & weekends may be included depending on schedule
- No formal call, though shift coverage may vary
️ Required Clinical Skills & Responsibilities Providers must be experienced and capable in:
Trauma & Acute Care - Trauma alerts and surgical consults
- Admitting, rounding, and assisting in OR
- Facilitating discharges
- Managing ER admissions
- Responding to:
- House Codes
- Rapid Response
Procedures - Ventilation management
- Chest tube insertion
- Central line insertion
- Arterial line insertion
- PICC line insertion
- Minor laceration suturing
- BiPAP/CPAP management
️ Supervision & Team Structure - Supervising trauma surgeon on-site 24/7
- APP will not work autonomously
- Collaborative, team-based trauma environment
Credentialing - Temps available
