Cardiac Surgeon Locum Tenens Opportunity CA

Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiac Surgeon for a temporary locum tenens assignment .The ideal provider will be available for a full-time schedule for at least 6 months.
The client is also open to considering multiple surgeons to share coverage. For example, three qualified surgeons could potentially rotate coverage with each physician working every third week.

Schedule & Coverage

Full-time coverage preferred
Minimum 6-month commitment
Flexible consideration for multiple providers to share the schedule
Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Hospital call coverage required
Thoracic call included
Must be available to participate in team meetings and department conferences as needed

Clinical Responsibilities
The Cardiac Surgeon will be responsible for:

Providing inpatient cardiac surgery coverage
Taking hospital call, including thoracic call
Performing cardiac surgery cases in the hospital
Evaluating and treating patients in the outpatient clinic
Seeing patients at the medical office building
Communicating with patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans
Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and department conferences as needed
Collaborating with hospital staff and other members of the surgical team

Requirements

Updated CV ( No Gaps above 30 days)
NPDB Self Query (Must be Current month)
Board Certification required
Must have appropriate cardiac surgery training and experience
Must be comfortable providing both inpatient and outpatient care
Must be willing to take cardiac and thoracic call
Clean professional and credentialing history strongly preferred to facilitate a faster and smoother privileging process
Active licensure and required credentials must be maintained throughout the assignment
