New Primary Care Opportunity in Memphis, TN
Well-Established Interventional Pain Management Practice in Memphis is seeking
a Primary Care Physician
THE NEED
The Memphis market needs a physician who can provide onsite clinical judgment,
evaluate more complex presentations, perform defined office based procedures,
and direct patients to the appropriate level of care.
• Evaluate new patients and help triage care to the appropriate
provider(s) within the practice.
• Collaborate closely with the practice s fellowship-trained
interventional pain specialists to determine treatment algorithms and gain
expertise in managing chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Improve access and continuity for patients who require physician
evaluation.
• Create a clear path from initial evaluation and conservative care to
advanced interventional treatment when clinically appropriate.
• Retain appropriate care within the network while avoiding unnecessary
outside referrals or delays.
• Support sustainable market growth through stronger provider capacity,
documentation, patient experience, and referral coordination.
PROPOSED ROLE
The role is designed for a physician with a Family Medicine or Internal
Medicine background who will practice within Company's pain and musculoskeletal
care model.
• Evaluate adults with chronic pain, acute pain, musculoskeletal
complaints, and medical comorbidities that affect treatment planning.
• Develop and manage evidence based, multimodal treatment plans,
including medication management, rehabilitation, therapy, and other
conservative care.
• Coordinate with fellowship-trained interventional pain physicians at
the practice and order interventional pain procedures, including epidural
steroid injections (ESI), medial branch blocks (MBB), radiofrequency ablation
(RFA), nerve blocks, and other injections, as appropriate based on the
patient s condition and treatment plan.
• Perform designated office based injections and ultrasound-guided
procedures after structured training, documented competency validation, and
approval through the practice s Medical Director.
• Recognize patients who may benefit from advanced interventional pain
procedures, including spinal cord stimulation (SCS), minimally invasive lumbar
decompression (MILD), basivertebral nerve ablation (Intracept), kyphoplasty,
and others, and coordinate timely referral to the appropriate interventional
pain specialist.

response, function, safety, and next steps.

Medicine

collaboration to APPs.
• Experience in a multisite physician group and familiarity with
eClinicalWorks.

CARE MODEL
• Initial evaluation and triage. The physician completes the medical
and musculoskeletal assessment, identifies risk, and determines the appropriate
level of care and treatment plan.
• Conservative and office-based treatment. The physician manages
appropriate patients through medication, rehabilitation, therapy, imaging, and
designated in-office procedures within approved scope. Follow-up evaluation and
management care may be scheduled with Advanced Practice Providers, depending on
the treatment plan.
• Interventional pain procedure referral. Patients requiring
minimally-invasive spine procedures, such as ESIs, MBBs, RFA, nerve blocks, or
other injections are referred to the appropriate interventional pain physician
at the practice.
• Advanced procedure referral. Patients who do not get relief from
initial injections or procedures may require an advanced spine or
interventional procedure. The Physician should educate the patient on these
procedures and refer to the appropriate interventional pain physician at the
practice or to an outside specialist, as clinically indicated and depending on
the procedure type for which the patient is a candidate.
• Longitudinal follow up. The physician remains involved in ongoing
management, evaluates treatment response, and coordinates next steps with the
patient and care team.
COMPENSATION FRAMEWORK
• Base salary: $265,000 to $300,000, based on experience, training, and
role fit.

the structure to be determined.

in Memphis.
• Clearer APP clinical support, escalation standards, and
accountability.

procedures, and advanced interventional treatment.
• Potential additional professional collections and downstream
procedural volume.
• A more durable clinical platform for future market growth and
provider recruitment.
