POSITION SUMMARY
The Department seeks a hematology and oncology specialist to join a large, established cancer program providing comprehensive care for patients with malignant and benign hematologic conditions. The role includes outpatient evaluation and management, participation in a structured call rotation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary support teams. The position supports a high volume referral network with opportunities for clinical research and flexible scheduling.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board eligible or board certified in Hematology and Oncology.
• Residency training in internal medicine.
• Fellowship training in hematology and oncology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in New Mexico.
• Interest in providing balanced oncology and benign hematology care.
• Commitment to inclusive, patient centered oncology practice.
COMPETENCIES
• Ability to evaluate and manage a broad range of malignant and benign hematologic conditions.
• Skill in providing outpatient oncology care with multidisciplinary support.
• Effective collaboration with navigators, social workers, dietitians, and infusion nursing teams.
• Commitment to high quality cancer care and participation in research initiatives.
• Capacity to support call responsibilities within a structured rotation.
