Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking an ABEM Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a long-term nocturnist locum opportunity in Connecticut. This assignment offers a consistent overnight schedule, strong APP support, and the opportunity to practice in a high-volume emergency department with dual physician coverage during peak hours.

• Start: Late December 2026 or Early January 2027
• 23-week assignment
• Coverage through May 2027
• Backfill for retiring physician

• Overnight shifts: 11:00 PM 9:00 AM
• Average 32 hours per week
• Typically 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next

• Emergency Department
• Annual Volume: Approximately 54,000 visits
• Dual physician coverage: 7:00 AM 2:00 AM
• Single physician coverage: 2:00 AM 7:00 AM

• Evaluate and manage adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Perform standard emergency medicine procedures
• Collaborate with APPs and emergency department staff
• Approximately 15 patients per shift

• 24-hour Advanced Practice Provider coverage
• Collaborative emergency medicine team

• MD or DO
• ABEM Board Certified
• Active Connecticut license preferred
• Local or drive-in candidates strongly preferred
