Job Title: Locum - Physician - Hematology Oncology
Join an innovative outpatient clinic in Pontiac, Michigan, where you can make a significant impact in the field of Hematology and Oncology. This facility offers a vibrant practice setting with a dedicated support team, including RNs, Medical Assistants, and specialists. The clinic operates from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing excellent care to patients while you fill an important recruitment gap.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient clinic coverage on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Participate in clinic call as needed.
- Manage an average of outpatient clinic patients daily.
- Perform Hematology and Oncology outpatient care.
- Participate in tumor board meetings.
- Collaborate with support staff, including Oncology RNs, Social Workers, and Nurse Navigators.
- Utilize the Cerner EMR system for patient documentation.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in adult outpatient care.
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Active Michigan medical license (required; IMLC not accepted).
- BLS/ACLS certification (required).
- Copy of NPDB self-query (to be presented within 30 days).
