Urology Physician

Job description

  • Type of Provider(s) client will accept (Including Specialty): MD Urology
  • Start Date: As soon as credentialed
  • LOA: Ongoing
  • Work Schedule:
    • Clinic is 8 am - 5 pm
    • OR hours are 7 am - 5 pm
    • 3-4 days in the clinic, 1 day in the OR
    • Inpatient or Outpatient: Both
    • Patient Volume: Clinic volume is typically about 35 patients per day and OR volume is dependent on length of cases scheduled
    • Staffing Mix:
      • MD / PA
      • Works closely with interventional radiology
      • Hosp do admin / discharges
      • List of potential procedures:
        • Prostate needle biopsy - Vasectomy
        • Baby circumcisions
        • Cystoscopy
        • Ureteroscopy
        • Ureteral stent placement
        • Difficult catheter placement guided by cystoscopy and wire
        • Lithotripsy
        • Bladder fulguration
        • Irrigation and evacuation of blood clots
        • Urethral stricture dilation
        • Orchiopexy
        • Scrotal debridement
        • Scrotal exploration
        • Scrotal abscess I&D
        • Circumcision for paraphimosis
        • Suprapubic catheter placement
        • TURP (sometimes)
        • TURBT (sometimes)
        • Certifications required: BC Urology
        • Background Experience: BC Urology
        • Credentialing Requirements/Timeframe: 30-60 daysBecome an ICON:
