- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with floor call/beeper coverage from 3:00 PM-7:00 AM; Saturday and Sunday include 24-hour onsite support with floor call or OR call
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,510-$4,160
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
- Documentation System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active Ohio Physician Assistant license required
- Board certification in Vascular Surgery required
- Active ACLS certification required
- Active DEA registration required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery required
- Clean background with no malpractice or license issues required
- Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced inpatient surgical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients
- Assist in surgical procedures and support emergency surgical cases as needed
- Take consults and referrals from the ED, Cath Lab, and other hospital providers
- Round on patients, coordinate care, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Order tests, write prescriptions, and maintain clear documentation in Epic
- Perform vein harvesting and retrieve vascular tissue for bypass conduit use
- Support call coverage and weekend coverage as part of the surgical team
