Hematology/Oncology Physician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician to join a busy outpatient practice in the Cooperstown, NY area. This is a locum tenens position for a provider to work 3 full days per week, with the potential to continue until a permanent hire is made.

Start Date: 4/6/2026

End Date: Ongoing / until full-time hire

Schedule: 3 days per week, full time

Setting: Outpatient only

Compensation:

• Maximum daily rate: Please contact
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage provided

Team Composition:

• 1 MD to 1 NP onsite
• Support staff includes nursing and administrative personnel

Patient Details:

• Volume: patients/day (varies by patient mix)
• Case Mix: 80% Oncology / 20% Hematology
• Hematology Scope: Includes benign and malignant cases

Procedures/Skills:

• Bone marrow procedures are a plus (most handled by IR)

Credentialing & Requirements:

• Active NY medical license required
• Board Certification required
• Immunization record required (flu vaccine or declination)
• Negative TB or QuantiFERON Gold test within 1 year of start
• No temporary privileges; MSO processing timeframe 120 days (urgent need flagged with credentialing team)
