Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Urgent Care
Maine 3x12.5-Hour Shifts No Call Immediate Opening
We're seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join a high-volume urgent care team providing exceptional walk-in care to patients of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity for providers who enjoy autonomy, fast-paced clinical environments, and procedural medicine while maintaining a predictable schedule.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries
- Provide care for pediatric and adult patients
- Perform suturing, splinting, incision & drainage, wound care, women's health exams, and other urgent care procedures
- Order and interpret X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory testing
- Develop treatment plans and determine appropriate referrals or transfers
- Document patient encounters using Experity EMR with AI-assisted charting
- Collaborate with clinical and support staff to deliver outstanding patient care
Schedule
- Three 12.5-hour shifts per week
- Approximately 37.5 hours weekly
- Clinic hours: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM
- Four weekend shifts per month
- No call
- One clinic per shift (no mid-shift travel)
- Regional floating with advance scheduling
- Assignment anticipated for 3 4 months with extension potential
Qualifications
- Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
- Active Maine APRN license preferred
- Active unrestricted DEA
- Current BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience
- Comfortable treating all ages
- Strong procedural skills including suturing, splinting, I&D, and wound care
- Experience with Experity or similar EMR preferred
