We are seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity with an established hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana .
Opportunity Highlights:

- Assignment: Ongoing locum tenens coverage
- Schedule: Per diem / intermittent coverage
- Patient Volume: Approximately 8 12 patients per shift
- PICU: 8-bed Pediatric Critical Care Unit
- Facility: Level II Pediatric and Trauma Facility
- Credentialing: Approximately days
- License Requirement: Active Indiana medical license required
- Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Required Certifications: BLS and PALS
Clinical Responsibilities & Skills:
The ideal physician will be comfortable managing a broad range of pediatric critical care cases and procedures, including:
- Invasive and non-invasive ventilation management
- Acute and chronic respiratory care, including BiPAP/CPAP and nitric oxide
- Intubation and airway management
- Central and arterial line placement
- Chest tube placement and management
- ECMO experience
- Bronchoscopy and BAL procedures
- Management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
- ICP evaluation and management
- Lumbar punctures and diagnostic/therapeutic taps
- Paracentesis and thoracentesis
- EKG and X-ray interpretation
- Additional advanced pediatric critical care procedures as needed
