Job Description: Corporate Counsel - Construction
Fort Lauderdale, FL On-site, 5 days/week
The Company
Premier Pursuit is working with a multi-billion dollar construction company as it expands its in-house legal team. A rare chance to join a sophisticated, well-resourced legal department at a market leader.
The Role
We're seeking someone experienced to be a true do-it-all construction attorney supporting one of the company's business units in Fort Lauderdale. This is a generalist role for someone with a varied construction background who can move fluidly across the issues that arise on active projects.
In a given week you might negotiate a subcontract, pursue a payment claim, work through a bond dispute, and walk a job site to assess defective work. You'll support all legal aspects of the business with minimal ramp-up - the team is busy now and this hire is needed immediately.
Qualifications
J.D. and active license (Florida admission or eligibility)
6+ years of relevant experience, with substantial construction exposure
A generalist construction background across contracts, claims, disputes, and project support
Location & Compensation
On-site five days/week in Fort Lauderdale; no remote or hybrid. Compensation is competitive and flexible, commensurate with experience.
