Office Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days in office 2 days remote

Pay: $26 - $33/HR

About the Role:

Our client, a growing government contractor based in Reston, VA, is seeking a Staff Accountant with at least 2 years of experience and hands-on knowledge of Deltek Costpoint. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to grow within a stable and mission-driven GovCon environment.

• Perform general ledger accounting and monthly close activities
• Process journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assist with indirect rate calculations and project cost tracking
• Ensure compliance with DCAA, FAR, and GAAP standards
• Prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders and government agencies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audits and reporting requirements

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (preferably in a GovCon environment)
• Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and internal controls
• Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Experience working in a DCAA-compliant environment
• Exposure to project accounting and government contract billing
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations
