About the Position
TransForce is seeking a CDL A flatbed driver to support operations based in Kansas City, MO. This position offers home daily opportunities.
Pay & Schedule Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5 AM sharp (no exceptions)
- Averages 60-65 hours per week
- Pay: $29+ per hour + overtime after 40 hours
Job Details
- Route Type: Local, home daily, may deliver as far as 250 miles out in any direction
- Freight / Load Type: Steel coils and beams
- Equipment: International & Freightliner day cabs (2023 - 2024)
- Handling: Will secure load as needed and strap & unstrap at delivery site. Driver will be loaded daily by forklift driver and expected to spot the forklift operator as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate CDL A flatbed on local routes
- Transport heavy steel equipment in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
- Perform required handling tasks
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
- Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, climbing, strapping, tarping, etc.
Minimum Requirements
- License: CDL A
- Experience: 4+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
