Encore Oilfield Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our manufacturing team in New Iberia, Louisiana. This position is responsible for producing safe, high-quality welds on a variety of pipe spools and related components while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship, productivity, and adherence to company safety standards.

The ideal candidate has experience with multiple welding processes, can read blueprints, and takes pride in delivering quality work in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform safe, high-quality welds on various types of pipe spools using approved welding processes.
• Weld primarily from a pinwheel in both fixed-position and rollout applications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld specifications.
• Lay out and mark weld points using measuring tools, templates, and other layout equipment.
• Position materials using jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and hand tools.
• Assemble components and perform light fabrication with minimal supervision.
• Operate shop equipment including overhead cranes, iron workers, pipe threading machines, and pneumatic hand tools.
• Work with various pipe materials, fittings, and component sizes.
• Perform tack welding and grinding as required.
• Follow all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Promote teamwork, quality workmanship, and high productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of pipe welding or related fabrication experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to tack weld and safely operate grinders.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of butt weld fittings and various piping materials.
• Experience operating overhead cranes, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment.
• Ability to pass a 5G/6G welding test.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Reliable attendance and ability to maintain high productivity standards.

Preferred

• Experience welding structural components, pressure vessels, couplings, and nozzles.
• Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel pipe and vessels.
• Ability to perform TIG, Flux Core (FCAW), and MIG welding processes.
• Experience in industrial, oil & gas, or natural gas compression manufacturing environments.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently bend, squat, climb, stoop, kneel, and reach.
• Work at elevated heights and in confined or enclosed spaces as required.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
• Stand for extended periods while performing welding and fabrication tasks.
• Ability to work in both indoor shop environments and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions while wearing required PPE.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing and fabrication facility with occasional outdoor work. Employees regularly work around welding equipment, overhead cranes, heavy materials, and industrial machinery while following all required safety procedures.
