Job Overview:
We are a family owned / operated forklift service, sales and rental provider and are seeking a skilled ForkliftService Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electric, dual fuel & diesel forklift maintenance and repair, with the ability to work on various types of industrial machinery and equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues accurately and provide effective solutions. The Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Major responsibilities of the position are the ability to perform basic and in-depth repairs of forklift and other material handling equipment in a safe and professional manner, which also includes routine maintenance and safety inspections.
- Operate industrial machinery as needed for repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair options.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working in the shop or on-site.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Technician or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of forklift systems and components for electric, dual fuel and diesel forklifts.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and industrial equipment is highly desirable.
- Experience in diagnosing mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
