Job Description Job Description Our client in East Liberty is looking for a Lead Fitter/Welder to join their team.
Job Duties:
- 65% LAYOUT AND FIT structural steel and miscellaneous metals including
custom metal fabrications, steel stairs and railing. Metals include a steel,
stainless steel, and aluminum. Welding methods frequently employed
include MIG and TIG.
- 30% STEEL FABRICATION to include loading and unloading trucks,
operation of machinery to cut, punch, bend, thread, weld, grind, and
painting of steel.
- 5% PLANT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR to include lubrication,
maintenance, and minor repair of shop equipment, maintenance of the
grounds outside the building, and maintenance and repair of the building
(i.e. repairing windows, painting, roof repairs, light replacement).
- A fitter/welder/layout man is expected to be able to work well with others as well
as by himself. He should be able to accurately layout, read drawings, weld
effectively
Job Requirements:
- Experience with Layout and fit structural steel and miscellaneous metals
- Experience with Steel Fabrication
- Plant Maintenance and Repair
