The Pipe Welder will primarily work on new construction projects, as well as maintenance and repair tasks. This role involves skilled welding of pipe systems, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality on job sites. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform pipe welding on construction and maintenance projects
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine weld specifications
- Conduct welding inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Maintain safety compliance at all times on the work site
- Execute joint fit-up for precise weld alignment
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in pipe welding
- 6G welding certification
- Proficient in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
- Strong blueprint reading and pipe fitting skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Effective teamwork and communication abilities
- Experience with open root welding in the 6G position
