Hiring Structural Fitters, Houston TX
PAY: $25-30 Based on Experience
HOURS: 60+ PER WEEK Day and/or Night Shift available
DURATION: VERY LONG TERM (12+ MONTHS)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Fit, cut, and tack material.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares welding joints
- Cuts material
- Fit and tack material required from drawings
- Fill out inspection reports and requests
- Conventional and measuring instruments
- Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
- Safety and Housekeeping
JOB SKILLS
- Ability to read blueprints
- Basic welding
- Proficiency in math
- Knowledge of structural shapes and sizes
- Ability to work with a torch and bevel machining
EDUCATION & TRAINING
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Two years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work performed in a shop environment.
- Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials.
- Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
- The use of Safety Glasses is required.
- Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week.
- Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
- Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility
