A1 EMS INC is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team, servicing the Long Island and New York City area.
We are looking for a serious, reliable technician with 10+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience who is ready to work, knows the trade, and can diagnose and repair equipment without being babysat. This position is for someone who understands residential and commercial HVAC systems, takes pride in clean work, communicates professionally with customers, and can represent the company properly in the field.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems, including split systems, rooftop units, gas heating equipment, air handlers, condensers, mini-splits, controls, electrical components, refrigerant circuits, motors, compressors, and general mechanical systems. Technician must be able to perform proper diagnostics, explain findings clearly, recommend repairs, and complete work in a professional and timely manner.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of HVAC service experience, a valid driver's license, strong troubleshooting skills, their own hand tools, and the ability to work independently. EPA certification is required. Experience with commercial HVAC, rooftop package units, ductless systems, hydronic systems, and control wiring is strongly preferred.
We are looking for someone dependable, motivated, and ready to work. Must show up on time, be organized, keep the truck and job site clean, complete paperwork properly, and communicate well with dispatch, management, and customers.
This is a full-time position with steady work for the right person. Compensation will be based on experience, skill level, and ability to produce quality work in the field.
