MFC is growing and looking for skilled MIG/TIG Welders to join our team on both 1st and 2nd shift in St. Paul, MN.

Job Summary


The MIG/TIG Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating metal components using MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques. This role works with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, ensuring welds are clean and precise and meet MFC quality standards.

This position requires the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, prepare and operate welding equipment, and safely complete fabrication work while contributing to daily production goals.


Responsibilities


  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on metal components, ensuring strong and precise welds
  • Fabricate parts and assemblies according to blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment for optimal performance
  • Inspect welds for proper penetration, alignment, and quality
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on welding equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
  • Work closely with fabricators, machinists, engineers, and production team members to meet deadlines
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Support quality standards and continuous improvement efforts


Skills & Qualifications


  • Previous MIG and TIG Welding experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols
  • Strong knowledge of welding materials, equipment, and safety standards
  • Attention to detail with commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Manufacturing or industrial welding experience preferred


Physical Requirements


  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift
  • Visual ability to inspect weld quality and accuracy
  • Comfortable working in a production manufacturing environment


Work Environment


  • Manufacturing/Industrial Setting
  • Exposure to: noise, welding fumes, machinery, varying temperatures
  • Required use of PPE and Welding safety equipment
