Position Summary

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, maintain, and service residential heating and air conditioning equipment. Our technicians work independently while being supported by an experienced office staff and management team dedicated to providing excellent customer service.

This is a full-time, year-round position with opportunities for growth and ongoing training.


Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair oil heating systems, and air conditioning systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and annual cleanings
  • Service boilers, furnaces, water heaters, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and central air systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues
  • Communicate repair options clearly with customers
  • Recommend replacement equipment when repairs are no longer practical
  • Complete accurate digital service tickets and documentation
  • Maintain company vehicle inventory and keep vehicle clean and organized
  • Follow all company safety policies and industry best practices
  • Participate in the on-call rotation


Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC service experience
  • Massachusetts Oil Burner Technician License
  • Valid Massachusetts Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Preferred

  • Experience servicing oil-fired heating equipment
  • Mini-split and heat pump experience
  • Knowledge of combustion analysis and hydronic heating systems
  • Plumbing experience is a plus
