About the Role
DENIOS is seeking a hands-on Welding Supervisor to lead daily welding operations, support production goals, ensure quality standards, and promote a safe working environment. This position is responsible for supervising welders, coordinating workflow, troubleshooting welding issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department.
ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
- Supervise, train, and mentor welders and welding personnel.
- Assign daily work priorities and support production schedules.
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and employee development.
Welding & Manufacturing Operations
- Oversee MIG, TIG, Spot Welding, Resistance Welding, and related fabrication processes.
- Ensure welding procedures and work instructions are followed.
- Verify weld quality and compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Troubleshoot welding-related equipment, materials, and process issues.
- Collaborate with Engineering on new products and process improvements.
- Drive initiatives that improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Quality & Safety
- Support compliance with AWS standards and company quality requirements.
- Conduct weld inspections and process audits.
- Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Promote compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and welding safety equipment.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Monitor welding equipment performance and maintenance needs.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
- Track welding consumables and inventory levels.
- Recommend equipment and process improvements.
Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous leadership experience as a Lead Welder, Team Lead, Supervisor, or similar role.
- Experience reading blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Strong knowledge of MIG and TIG welding processes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Technical training or certification in Welding Technology.
- Experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, and sheet metal fabrication.
- AWS certifications (CWS, CWI, or Certified Welder).
- Experience in a custom manufacturing environment.
This position is onsite in Louisville, KY.
