The HVAC Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems operate efficiently and reliably. Working primarily within a small team of 1-3 technicians and reporting directly to the Service Manager, the technician performs installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks to support client comfort and safety. This position involves local travel to various service locations.
Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems according to specifications and standards
- Perform routine maintenance to prevent system failures
- Diagnose and repair issues in HVAC equipment
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions promptly and accurately
- Ensure safety compliance during all service activities
- Document technical information and service records
- Collaborate with team members and communicate with customers effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC service and maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA 608 Certification
- Proficient in HVAC system installation and preventive maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of electrical systems and refrigeration cycles
- Commitment to safety compliance standards
- Excellent customer service and time management abilities
- Experience with technical documentation
