The Residential HVAC Service Technician plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems primarily in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HVAC industry standards, focusing mainly on emergency repairs and routine maintenance, with occasional involvement in new system installations. This position requires both independent work and team collaboration, with local travel to service sites.
Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties
- Perform routine and emergency equipment maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshoot HVAC system issues to diagnose problems accurately
- Replace faulty parts and components efficiently
- Conduct system testing to ensure proper functionality and safety
- Adhere to safety compliance guidelines at all times
- Interact professionally with customers to explain services and provide support
- Complete detailed technical reports documenting service activities
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly
Required Qualifications
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- Proficient in HVAC system diagnostics and refrigeration cycle knowledge
- Skilled in electrical troubleshooting related to HVAC equipment
- Experience in preventative maintenance of HVAC systems
