We need a skilled technician to handle three main jobs: service calls (repairs/maintenance), retro-fits(upgrading old units to modern ones), and new construction installs. You will transition between job sites, diagnose problems, and install complete systems while providing great customer service. Your first priority will be running service calls.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Service & Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults. Repair or replace defective parts. Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Retrofits: Assess existing structures. Safely remove old systems. Install modern, energy-efficient equipment into older homes.
• New Construction: Read and follow construction blueprints and diagrams. Rough-in ductwork, gas lines, and electrical wiring for unfinished structures.
• Customer Service: Explain repair options and costs clearly to clients. Show customers how to use their new systems.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all OSHA safety rules. Ensure all work meets local and state building codes.
Qualifications
• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in residential/commercial installation and service.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a technical trade school or apprenticeship is preferred.
• Certifications: EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required. Any local state journeyman or contractor licenses are a plus.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces (like attics or crawlspaces), and endure various weather conditions.
• License: Clean, valid driver's license.
