Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the comfort, safety, and efficiency of building systems. Duties
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and mechanical equipment using schematics and electrical diagnostics tools.
- Perform installations of HVAC equipment such as ductwork, thermostats, ventilation fans, following industry standards and safety protocols.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to optimize efficiency and prevent breakdowns, including cleaning filters, inspecting electrical connections, and calibrating controls
- Utilize hand tools, ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to repair or replace faulty parts with precision
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding system status, recommended repairs or upgrades, and safety procedures to ensure excellent customer service.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction sites or property maintenance environments with a focus on HVAC/R systems.
- Strong knowledge of schematics for electrical wiring diagrams related to HVAC design and installation.
- Skilled in HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across various equipment types
- Mechanical knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), electrical diagnostics for HVAC controls
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, welding equipment; familiarity with ohmmeters for electrical testing.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; experience with HVAC system design is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with field service experience; ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid driver's license suitable for operating company vehicles; experience with property maintenance preferred.
