Astar is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. If you're a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, and delivering exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment
- Service split systems, package units, rooftop units (RTUs), chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and related equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Identify potential issues and recommend solutions to prevent future breakdowns
- Complete accurate service documentation and communicate findings to customers and management
- Assist with equipment startups, commissioning, and test & balance activities as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience preferred
- EPA Certification required
- TDLR HVAC Registration or License required
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and air balancing principles
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean MVR
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
- Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, scissor lifts, and genie lifts
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work in confined spaces when necessary
- Must be safety-focused and able to wear required PPE
