Job Summary
FRYE Mechanical Inc. is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Full-Time HVAC Installer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial properties. The ideal candidate has excellent mechanical aptitude, prioritizes job site safety, and delivers exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation units according to manufacturer specifications and building codes.
- Fabricate, lay out, and connect electrical wiring (low and line voltage) using wiring diagrams.
- Install copper refrigerant lines, including expert brazing and soldering.
- Pre-measure job sites to determine and gather correct project materials.
- Properly connect and seal gas lines to heating systems.
- Test and troubleshoot newly installed equipment to verify proper functionality and airflow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked company installation vehicle.
- Educate clients on how to operate their new HVAC systems and thermostats.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proven experience with residential or commercial HVAC installation.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools (pipe cutters, manifold gauges, vacuum pumps).
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong physical stamina, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight or warm spaces like attics.
Preferred Licenses & Certifications
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
- NATE Certification.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
