We are offering: $25 an hour or more based on experience Full-time Overtime is available First shift Full benefits Gym membership reimbursement Paid time off and paid holidays Full Job Details Essential duties and responsibilitiesFamiliar with the precise disassembly, repair, painting and reassembly of all damaged partsDisplays skill using a cutting torch and minor weldingMust comply with all safety protocols to include wearing protective gear and maintain a clean and safe work environmentMust be able to communicate professionally with both internal and external customersMust be able to perform with a great attention to detailMust be a self-starter and able to work to a schedulePerforms other related duties as assignedRequirements: Our technicians should have a number of professional skills and abilities:Experience in auto body repair to include frame, panel, filler and paint finish, sand blasting is preferredGood general knowledge of paint and paint applicationExperience with use of gravity HVLP and pressure pot painting systems preferredGood mechanical skills such as but not limited to welding, fabrication, etc.Good interpersonal and customer service skillsProvides positive interaction with peers, leaders and internal customersSound organizational, records management, time management skills, and attention to detailThe ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities, meet assigned deadlines, and manage the related stressHave the desire to learn shop procedures and technical information, take initiative Based on the technical and professional responsibilities of the position, the Automotive Body Shop Technician is required to have:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Some class A/B technical school or BOCES experience is desirableSome experience working on automobiles, farm equipment or construction equipmentOwn basic set of toolsValid driver's license The Automotive Body Shop Technician is primarily located work environment with moderate to loud noise levels. Physical requirements include:Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistanceMust be able to wear a respiratorMust be on time for all scheduled shifts and work all scheduled days Benefits This position offers an excellent benefits package (401K, health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and more) plus the possibility for weekly overtime.
