Job description

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Pediatric Surgeon for a crucial 90-day assignment in Arizona, commencing Oct 2, 2026. In this role, the Physician will be responsible for seeing patients in the department and performing a comprehensive range of pediatric surgical procedures, encompassing laparoscopic surgeries, vascular procedures, and GI endoscopy, ensuring high-quality patient care throughout the assignment. Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive care to pediatric and neonatal patients. Perform a variety of pediatric surgical procedures, including laparoscopic surgeries such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication. Conduct head/neck surgery, including thyroid procedures, and chest wall/pleural procedures. Perform breast surgery and GI endoscopy, including upper and lower endoscopies, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy. Address minor orthopedic and hand surgery cases. Manage ventilation, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement. Perform vascular surgery, including aneurysm repairs, thoracic, abdominal, arterial bypass, and peripheral procedures, along with vascular access device placement. Address esophageal, intestinal, and biliary issues. Manage abdominal wall defects such as gastroschisis, umbilical defects, hernia, omphalocele, diaphragmatic hernia, and imperforate anus. Perform PDA ligation. Additional Information Board certification in Pediatric Surgery is required. Experience with Epic EMR system.
