Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician to join our client in Illinois for a 190-day assignment starting Sep 4, 2026. This nocturnist role involves a 10 on 10 off schedule, working 7P-7A, and focuses on admissions, particularly to the ICU, and critical response duties, providing essential support to patient care throughout the night. Responsibilities and Duties Work a nocturnist schedule of 10 days on, 10 days off. Manage an average of 10 admissions per night. Admit patients to the ICU at night; after admission, patient management transitions to Sound tele until the intensivist begins duty the following morning. Collaborate with the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) on admissions, with flexibility for the physician to decide how duties are shared. Respond to Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) and codes. Run codes if ED physicians are simultaneously occupied; otherwise, ED physicians are contracted to run codes. Perform hospital rounding duties. Procedures are not required for this role.
