Machine Operator - 3 On, 4 Off
Cranston, RI 02910It is 6 am to 6 pm,
Friday to Sundays, 12-hour days. 3 days and 4 days off.
Hours 6am to 6pm or 7am to 7pm.
Summary
We are seeking a Furnace Operator to operate and maintain heat-treating and thermal processing equipment. This role converts customer orders into heat-treated finished products in line with work orders, quality standards, and production schedules.
Responsibilities
Load, operate, and unload heat-treating furnaces and related equipment per work orders
Set up, rack, fixture, clean, and degrease parts for processing
Verify and set program controls, time, and temperature settings
Monitor utilities (gases, air pressure, oil, water flow) before and during operations
Perform pre- and post-operational checks and basic preventive maintenance
Troubleshoot and take corrective action during equipment malfunctions
Maintain accurate records of work performed
Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures, including PPE use
Report any deviations in process, quality, or equipment performance
Qualifications
Experience operating furnaces or thermal processing equipment preferred
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting
Ability to follow written procedures and maintain documentation
Commitment to safe work practices and quality standards
