    Job Details
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
  • Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures.
  • Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
  • Prepare, implement and document plan of care.
  • Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
  • Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
  • Perform, set up, and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.
    Job Requirements
  • BLS Provider Registered Nurse required.
  • Advanced Life Support required.
  • Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
  • Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.
  • Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter in specialty with minimum 80% passing score.
  • Completion of Ascension Core Competencies within a year of start and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% passing score.
  • Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%.
  • Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start; updated annually for specialty.
  • Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, Health Statement, Varicella, Tdap, and 2 Step PPD or IGRA.
  • Driver's License/State ID must be current and valid.
  • Completion of background checks and employment verifications as required.

  • Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules required prior to clearance.
  • Ascension Cerner Test-Out required for onboarding.
  • Ascension Badge Photo optional.
  • Influenza Vaccine optional during flu season with mask requirement if declined.
  • Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire.
  • Ascension 2 Professional References required prior to first assignment.
  • Ascension Criminal Background Check Results required for onboarding.
  • Ascension EPLS run within 90 days of start and rerun if break in service >90 days.
  • Ascension Education Verification required within 90 days of start.
  • Ascension Confirmation of Assignment required upon initial assignment and updates.
  • Ascension Employment Verification required for past seven years and updated annually.
