Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures.
Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
Prepare, implement and document plan of care.
Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
Perform, set up, and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.

BLS Provider Registered Nurse required.
Advanced Life Support required.
Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.
Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter in specialty with minimum 80% passing score.
Completion of Ascension Core Competencies within a year of start and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% passing score.
Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%.
Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start; updated annually for specialty.
Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, Health Statement, Varicella, Tdap, and 2 Step PPD or IGRA.
Driver's License/State ID must be current and valid.
Completion of background checks and employment verifications as required.

Ascension Resume required for submission.
Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding.
Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation required for onboarding.
Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding done onsite.
Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules required prior to clearance.
Ascension Cerner Test-Out required for onboarding.
Ascension Badge Photo optional.
Influenza Vaccine optional during flu season with mask requirement if declined.
Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire.
Ascension 2 Professional References required prior to first assignment.
Ascension Criminal Background Check Results required for onboarding.
Ascension EPLS run within 90 days of start and rerun if break in service >90 days.
Ascension Education Verification required within 90 days of start.
Ascension Confirmation of Assignment required upon initial assignment and updates.
Ascension Employment Verification required for past seven years and updated annually.
