JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC required (Board Eligible minimum)
  • Licenses: Active WI or IMLC will accept those willing to apply
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Fellowship: Preferred
  • Experience: Board Certified or Eligible with recent TEE experience (30-40 cases in past year) and proficiency in arterial/central line placements and regional blocks
  • Other Qualifications: TEE certification required (basic or advanced), cardiac trained, collegial and flexible
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide cardiac anesthesia coverage including 80% structural and 20% pump cases.
  • Perform general anesthesia when no cardiac cases are scheduled.
  • Place arterial lines, central lines, and regional blocks as needed.
  • Manage intraoperative ventilation, acute volume/BP issues, and perform intraoperative TEE.
  • Take beeper call (weeknights and weekends) for cardiac anesthesia coverage.
