Locums - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Gastroenterologist Job

Please ask about our generous referral fees!• Locum job opening• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible gastroenterologist• Must be able to work at least 7 shifts per month• Mon-Sun 24-hour shifts• Hospital coverage: 7a-5p• Call coverage: 5p-7a• Shifts are typically confirmed as 7a-7a or 5p-5p• Occasional need for standalone day shifts or night call shifts at the beginning/end of a block• Provide 24/7 GI call coverage across three hospitals• Responsibilities include consultations, follow ups, inpatient rounding, procedures, discharges, and call coverage• Procedures include:• Colonoscopy• EGD• EUS• PEG placement• Esophageal varices and stenting• ERCP• Average 10 new consults daily across all three hospitals• Weekday consults average 10-12 per day• Weekend consults average 8-9 per day• Inpatient list may grow to 40-50 patients after several days of follow up• Average 10 inpatient procedures daily across all sites combined• Less than 100 GI procedures performed on weekends during all of 2024• More than 400 ERCPs performed across the system in 2024• Estimated 2-3 ED consult calls daily across all hospitals• EMR: EPIC• Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
