24-hour call shifts
7:00 AM - 7:00 AM

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
Hospital
24-hour neurosurgical call coverage
Patient Population:
Adult neurosurgical patients
Patient volume varies based on call activity.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Emergency neurosurgical consultations
Hospital call coverage
Evaluation and management of neurosurgical emergencies
Operative neurosurgical care as needed
Collaboration with multidisciplinary hospital teams
Department Focus:
General neurosurgery
Spine surgery
Peripheral nerve surgery
Brachial plexus surgery
Support & Technology
Support Staff:
Five Neurosurgeons
Hospital nursing and operating room staff
Multidisciplinary surgical support
EMR System:
Epic
Requirements
Board Certified in Neurosurgery - Required
Active North Carolina License - Required
OR
Eligible for North Carolina licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) with a clean background - Accepted
DEA Registration - Required
Minimum two years of post-training experience - Required
Clean background preferred for expedited credentialing and licensure
