Registered Nurse position in the Bariatric Surgical Unit at Ascension St. Vincent Carmel, Indiana.
Role involves providing nursing care specific to bariatric surgery patients.

Must have a current nursing license verified through Nursys within 30 days prior to start.
Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam and Medical Surgical Exam with minimum 80% score prior to start, updated every 3 years.
Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within a year of start, updated every 3 years.
Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with minimum 80% score prior to start, updated every 3 years.
Must have completed Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start; updated annually for specialty.
Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza Vaccine (optional), Fit Test, Positive PPD or IGRA with chest X-ray if applicable, and Health Statement updated annually.
Must provide professional references and pass criminal background checks including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others within 90 days of assignment start.
Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
Third-party employment verification for past seven years, updated annually.

Ascension Resume required for submission.
Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding.
Ascension Badge Photo required for onboarding.
Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding required.
Ascension Unit Specific Checklist optional for onboarding but needs to be uploaded by unit leader within a week.
