Facility:This well-established regional medical center provides comprehensive hematology and oncology services to the central Wisconsin community. The facility features a robust multidisciplinary team including 3 MDs and 3 APPs, supported by RN/MA staff, navigators, and infusion RNs, along with on-site radiation oncology services.
Opportunity:Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:- Full-time locum coverage for Hematology/Oncology (no medical oncology) needed ASAP - best case late August start
- Full-time availability required - please only submit locums with full-time availability
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch; overtime applies after a 9-hour day
- Approximately 15 patient encounters per shift
- Bone marrow biopsies are required
- 1:4 weekly hospital call rotation; Friday 7:30 AM to the following Friday 7:30 AM
- Daily rounding required Monday through Sunday for 1-2 hours; weekday afternoon rounding from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Inpatient coverage includes acute leukemic patients and inpatient chemotherapy patients; phone calls required but rarely called in
- Weekday clinic call is shared and covers add-on consults and supervision of chemotherapy patients for absent providers
- Chemo Clinic: each provider supervises their own patients
- Documentation required for post-Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and post-CAR-T Cell Therapy patients
- Provider must utilize "real time" Mobile Time Clock, preferably GPS-based
- Board certification required; ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days
- Nearest airport is CWA; lodging provided per cap
Compensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
