Thisopportunity is ideal for a board-certified general surgeon who is comfortablemanaging a broad range of acute general surgery cases in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour general surgery call coverage.
- Evaluate and manage emergency general surgery consults and admissions.
- Perform urgent and emergent general surgical procedures as needed.
- Round on hospitalized surgical patients and provide postoperative management.
- Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians, hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in Epic.
Scope ofPractice
- Full-spectrum general surgery call.
- No bariatric call or bariatric patient coverage required.
- Candidates should be proficient in the routine procedures and clinical responsibilities expected of a general surgeon.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in General Surgery.
- Active, unrestricted Virginia medical license.
- Current ACLS certification.
- DEA registration and eligibility for hospital credentialing and privileges.
