- Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, four 10-hour shifts per week

- Provide perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients
- First assist in cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
- Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)
- Manage patients in the Cardiac ICU and step-down units
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic care
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff
- Support continuity of care throughout the surgical episode Requirements
- Active Oregon Physician Assistant license required
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery PA experience
- ACLS certification required
- ATLS certification required
- Prescriptive authority required
- Oregon state CSR required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Clean NPDB preferred Facility & Practice Highlights
- Established cardiothoracic surgery program
- Approximately 5 cardiac surgeries and 3 thoracic surgeries weekly
- Cardiac ICU census of approximately 7 patients
- Collaborative staffing model including cardiac surgeons, thoracic surgeons, and experienced PAs
- No transplant procedures
- Maquet EVH system utilized
- Vein harvesting focus; no radial artery harvesting
