Warehouse Operator- 171513
Location: North Canaan, CT 06018
Pay: $23.00/hour
Schedule: 7:00am-7:00pm (full-time, 40 hrs./week)
Overview
We are hiring an Operator 1, Warehouse Operations to support shipping and warehouse operations. This role includes loading trailers, moving materials, and operating warehouse equipment (forklift experience is a plus, training available).
Key Responsibilities
- Load trailers in shipping using a forklift
- Move trailers in and out of the shipping dock as needed
- Operate a floor stretch wrapper (training available)
- Move materials, parts, and finished goods within the warehouse
- Maintain basic records related to materials and inventory
- Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality guidelines
- Work with minimal direction under general/limited supervision
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and understand documents in English
- Basic math & general computer skills
- Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting/moving 20+ lbs
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred Experience
- Forklift operation experience (can train)
- Shipping/receiving or warehouse experience
- Semi-truck / trailer moving experience (a plus)
- Stretch wrapper equipment experience (a plus)
