As a Mechanical Assembler, you'll perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and measurement product assembly operations on components, sub-assemblies, and large assemblies. Day to day, you will:

Experience: Previous manufacturing or mechanical experience strongly preferred. Backgrounds in automotive repair, construction, or other assembly-type environments will also be considered.

As a Mechanical Assembler, you'll perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and measurement product assembly operations on components, sub-assemblies, and large assemblies. Day to day, you will:
- Perform hands-on manufacturing tasks while meeting quantity and quality standards
- Follow work instructions and sequence travelers for wiring, component installation, welding, and fitting on assembly units
- Make setups and adjustments, holding tolerances to blueprint specifications
- Interpret drawings, blueprints, and similar documents as required
- Work safely in accordance with all Environmental Health & Safety standards, OSHA, and applicable regulations
- Communicate positively and respectfully with coworkers, managers, and internal/external customers
- Perform other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to use electronically controlled equipment and hand tools
- Experience with tooling and assembly utilizing heavy equipment
- Experience with quality measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Experience using air pallets, forklifts, and overhead cranes
- Background in welding and electronic/wiring assembly a plus - welding experience highly preferred
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and placing manufacturing parts on a repeated basis (at least 25 lbs.)
- Ability to remain on your feet and move throughout the plant for a minimum of eight (8) hours, with designated breaks
- Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks with full range of motion in both hands/arms (circular, up and down, back and forth, side to side, and overhead)
- Ability to work with and around chemicals, including nickel-based compounds, adhesives, and solvents
- Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hats, and respirators as required
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $19.00/hour to start; $21.00/hour after a successful 90-day period (plus 10% shift differential) ($20.90-$23.10)
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM
- Work Location: In person - Torrington, CT
- The successful candidate will be required to complete a drug screen, criminal background check, and employment and education verification.
