Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, building, and creating custom fabricated parts for our systems and products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects and contribute to the continued rapid growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Build and install parts on extruded aluminum frame modules for mail processing equipment.
Must have experience using hand tools, electric drills screwdrivers.
Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and install systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
Power tool/ hand tool experience.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and recommend solutions to resolve problems efficiently.
Document assembly and service procedures, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Assist the Production Manager in optimizing production workflows and identifying process improvements.
Maintain inventory levels of tools, parts, and supplies required for assembly and service tasks.
Assemble pre-made parts to complete assemblies
Read and interpret shop drawings
Work with engineers on creating prototypes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
Maintain documentation for processes
Have a keen eye for detail and quality assurance
Participate in a team working environment
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in fabrication and /or assembly. Electrical, metal, or plastics experience preferred
- Ability to read shop and engineer drawings
- Ability to adhere to a timeline
- Effectively communicate with fellow team members and leadership
- Ability to work as a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Mechanical aptitude experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 60lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment that may include exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
