Electrical Assembler
Location: Rochester, NY 14607
6:00am-2:30pm
2+ Month
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00/hour (W2)
Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Service Technician/Fabricator to join our team in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will fabricate and assemble electrical control panels by interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. This position is ideal for candidates with experience using hand tools, fabrication equipment, and mechanical assembly techniques in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
- Lay out wireways, DIN rails, and electrical components on enclosure back panels.
- Position, align, and secure parts prior to wiring and final assembly.
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment including:
- Drill presses
- Brakes
- Shears
- Grinders
- Punches and taps
- Measure and inspect workpieces using rulers, calipers, straightedges, and templates.
- Verify finished assemblies meet quality specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, engineering drawings, and blueprints.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read standard and metric measuring tools.
- Experience using basic fabrication tools such as drills, taps, punches, and hand tools is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift.
